That's why I need to know the values I asked for in the first sentence :) ![]() The 0 clones thing is a bug and I hope I will be able to fix it in next few days (it that happens, I will let you know so you can use a portable version of Krita development version to render your animation properly), but I can't fix your memory issues in the code. Of course usually it's not needed, but the animation I tried to render was huge and I had to workaround a lot. (f) Then I used ffmpeg in commandline to join all of the frames into one video (Useful trick: check "Log Viewer" in Settings -> Dockers, then turn on logging (first button on the left bottom corner), then try to render the video (but not whole! just a few first frames, to make sure Krita can render them like only 0 and 1) Log Viewer will show the exact command that Krita uses to render). ![]() fix/workaround the bug with 0 clones and compile Krita, (e) I had to render frames as an image sequence anyway because Krita was not able to fit all the rendered frames in RAM, so I had to for example render 100 of them, then close Krita and open again and render the next 100. When I was dealing with really huge animation - 180 frames in 4K or 360 frames in fullHD - on my poor little 8GB RAM laptop, I had to (a) make a huge swap file for Krita somewhere (in Configure Krita -> Performance there is a maximum size of the swap file, by default it's 2GB I think, I made it a lot bigger, like 15 GB or even 20 GB - make sure the disk the swap file is on has enough empty space!), (b) lower Krita's RAM limit to a very low value (like 1GB or so it's ok because I made this huge swap file Krita will be slow, but working), (c) turn off "Enable rendering frames in background" in Configure Krita -> Performance (so it doesn't take up RAM I need) (d). A lot has changed with the new update and it works really well for me now, this issue aside.Ĭan you please tell me how much RAM do you have and what size your canvas is? And what limit you gave Krita? Still, I love the way my project turned out and if I can figure out how to render/export it it would be lovely. I have a very cheap Lenovo from roughly 4 years ago, so it might not be Krita at all. I haven't seen anyone else with the particular problem I have so far, so it's all too possible that it's just my computer. It is possible that it's my computer or Windows 10 causing the issue. I left everything else at the default setting. I have also given Krita an empty folder to export the finished video and. I have installed the FFmpeg from the krita website (found in the user manual) and entered its location. I'd also be happy with an MP4 if that would work more easily. Unfortunately, I can't attach a screenshot of my settings, but I'm trying to export both the image sequence and a. However, when I tried to render/export it, I received the message, "Failed to render animation!" or something to that effect. I made a small (6-8 frame, 1 layer) animation with no lagging/other issues at all.
